This reminds me of the premiss of the movie, The Matrix. I suppose some might see consciousness as portrayed by the Force in Star Wars. This has me thinking. If consciousness is our brain’s tuning in to different things, it does correlate with different individuals having varying levels of “consciousness” - self-awareness, awareness of their surroundings. If the brain’s antenna can be aimed, directed or tuned, then your postulate means it can potentially be tuned into things beyond what we’ve been traditionally conditioned to. I’m sure there is a parallel to Christianity in here somewhere.
Sghera, thank you for your comments! I like your comparison to Star Wars. I believe that we are all living in an ocean of intelligent, compassionate consciousness. In Star Wars they called in the Force. I also think that different levels of consciousness exist. Not that one is better than the other; however, everthing has some level of consciousness. I also think that we can connect with an Implicate Order which is a hidden dimension of creation and connection. We can connect with the Implicate and create. These creations can then be projected into the Explicate, the world of space and time. You can check out my other Substack post on the Implicate order for more on this. The Implicate was postulated by the physicist, David Bohm.
Regarding Christianity . . . I believe that Jesus was teaching us how we can consciously connect to the Kingdom of Heaven within. When we carry this connection with us in our day-to-day activities, our lives become so much richer. Connecting to the kingdom of Heaven within, I believe, was the way Jesus was describing this higher consciousness (God, the Force, the Universe). I believe Jesus had an intimate connection to the Universe and this allowed him to do many great things--and to know many great things. He was trying to teach us how to do the same, in my opinion.
