I believe that your inner consciousness creates your outer reality. I’m not the first person to profess this. Most all of our spiritual teachers say as much—including Jesus in the New Testament:
Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be taken up and cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted him. Therefore, I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted you. —Mark 11:23-24
Jesus isn’t the only one to share this teaching. There have been many other spiritual masters claiming the same. For example:
The soul attracts that which it secretly harbors, that which it loves, and also that which it fears. It reaches the height of its cherished aspirations. It falls to the level of its unchastened desires—and circumstances are the means by which the soul receives its own. —James Allen, author of As a Man Thinketh, published in 1903
and
All that we are is the result of what we have thought. — Gautama Buddha, mystic whose teachings formed the basis for Buddhism, 5th century BCE
This teaching is something that the world’s mystics tell us again and again.
But you may be thinking, this never works for me!
I believe there are some secrets to making this work. This type of change of consciousness does not always work instantaneously in our dense world of time and space. It requires some consistent and careful cultivation.
So, what are the secrets? It seems that there are at least three important ingredients in creating your outer reality by your inner thoughts and beliefs.
The first ingredient is intention. That is, are you cultivating a consistent and reliable stream of thoughts for what you desire? Or are you sending mixed signals to the Universe? In many ways the Universe acts as a giant mirror. It will reflect back to you your most consistent thoughts and beliefs. Thoughts have power! Especially if they are unswerving.
The second important ingredient is your “Being-ness”. This one is harder to describe. Other ways to describe this would be your vibration or your resonance. There are parallels to this in the natural world. I’m sure you’ve seen the example of a stationary tuning fork that begins to vibrate at the same frequency as another vibrating tuning fork. It seems that our vibration can have a big impact on the speed of manifestation.
How do you raise your vibration? By being compassionate. By striving for unconditional love. By spreading joy. What you give is what you receive. You can raise your vibration by giving high energy. The law of karma guarantees that you will then receive high energy.
A third ingredient is something that Jesus spoke about in the above quote: Believe that you have already receive your blessings. And if you have already received your gifts, then you would be grateful. So, be grateful now for your desires as if they have already appeared.
Being an engineer and a nerd, I would summarize these secrets as follows:
Speed of Manifestation = Degree of Intentionality + Vibrational Level + Level of Gratitude
This is something that all of us can do. It is not necessarily easy; however, our spiritual teachers tell us it is possible. You can move mountains with enough practice.
And remember, of course, that you are already a beautiful and powerful soul, despite any outward appearances. Your soul is sentience and energy. You have incredible power at your disposal. Use it wisely!
Always let your light shine!
